Amerie’s debut album for Def Jam Recordings, In Love & War, is an aggressive mix of trunk-rattling hip-hop, raw soul reminiscent of James Brown, and classic Zeppelin-era rock ‘n roll. This digital DJ promo brings you the album’s Buchanans-produced anthem “Why R U,” which has already seen heavy support from Hot 97′s iconic DJ Funk Master Flex. Also included is the star-studded remix of the track (featuring Rick Ross, Cain, Jadakiss & Nas) and the breakbeat-heavy instrumental. Rounding things out is the Sean Garrett & Eric Hudson-produced “Heard ‘Em All,” making for a lovely taste of what’s to come on Amerie’s forthcoming album.

tried to put this in the comment box for “feedback”:
nice to hear the new amerie courtesy of my favorite promo service! another nice track that’s r&b but still fits in us “soul” djs’ box. both tracks are good, but i particularly like “heard ‘em all” — it’s just “funner.”
