Grammy nominated Island Def Jam singer/songwriter and New Orleans native Luke James‘ real-deal approach to music and – more important – the craft of singing are the main attractions on his mixtape Whispers In The Dark and upcoming album, Made to Love. This DJ promo features his sultry single “Make Love To Me,” produced by Salaam Remi and penned by Ne-Yo, “Strawberry Vapors” and “Oh God” ft. Hit Boy from his lustrous 11-track mixtape, and the follow up smash single “I.O.U.,” which is available on iTunes now.

Luke is currently the only opening act on the European leg of Beyoncé’s “Mrs. Carter” tour. Stay tuned for his debut album Made To Love coming soon.

The Child of Lov heads back to the future as both modern soul man and funk revivalist on his self-titled debut album out now on CD, vinyl, and digitally. It possesses a nostalgic reverence for early trailblazers like Little Richard, Otis Redding and James Brown as well as a penchant for the later neo soul of Dilla and D’Angelo. The Child of Lov certifies his scholarly underpinnings with a consummate cool that makes him feel like the rightful successor in the long line of musical heavyweights. The album was recorded at Damon Albarn‘s studio 13 in London with contributions from Albarn, Thundercat and DOOM and features artwork designed by The Child of Lov himself.
