This digital DJ promo features extended remixes from Todd Terje of two tracks from Franz Ferdinand‘s forthcoming album, Right Thoughts, Right Words, Right Action out next week on Domino. Todd also mixed the original versions of the tracks that appear on the multi-Grammy winning Scottish four-piece’s fourth studio album, which is now streaming on NPR’s First Listen. The single is available physically on a limited 12″ and digitally.

The Child of Lov heads back to the future as both modern soul man and funk revivalist on his self-titled debut album out now on CD, vinyl, and digitally. It possesses a nostalgic reverence for early trailblazers like Little Richard, Otis Redding and James Brown as well as a penchant for the later neo soul of Dilla and D’Angelo. The Child of Lov certifies his scholarly underpinnings with a consummate cool that makes him feel like the rightful successor in the long line of musical heavyweights. The album was recorded at Damon Albarn‘s studio 13 in London with contributions from Albarn, Thundercat and DOOM and features artwork designed by The Child of Lov himself.
